Philosophy

Residential architecture and its extension to urban design is the basis of Winslow Architecture & Urban Design. Established in 2001, Winslow Architecture & Urban Design offers a full range of architectural and urban design services from site selection, design, to construction documentation and construction administration. Personal service, collaboration, and environmental sustainability is at the core of the practice.

Great architecture arises from great ideas that are a result of a creative dialogue and collaboration. The design process gives us the opportunity to question and strengthen values – to examine the style and patterns of every day life, as well as our aspirations. In addition, Winslow Architecture and Urban Design looks and listens to the site for a dialogue. Every building has a unique context to explore and incorporate: site phenomena, physical circumstances, client desires, and conceptual frameworks The goal is to create an inclusive expression of life that strengthens the connections between nature, people and urbanity. Design is a result of a multiple disciplinary effort that integrates environmentally sustainable techniques with modern tectonics. Every building becomes a new discovery of relationships.
