Working closely with the Brooklyn College, City University of New York and Steiner Studios, we designed the Barry R. Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. The new program includes the facilities necessary for sophisticated digital film production – from early concept to finished product. Housed within Steiner Studio’s historic 25 Washington Avenue building at The Brooklyn Navy Yard, also fully renovate by Dattner Architects, production facilities occupy the sixth floor including a sound stage, production labs, motion capture studio, construction shop, equipment room, and a screening room complete with mixing area. Post-production labs, editing suites, recording studios, instruction and administration occupy most of the fifth floor. The two levels are joined through a forum amphitheater, creating a spectacular gathering, meeting and viewing space.
