The European Commission and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe have announced the 40 shortlisted works selected by the jury for the 2019 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award.

Chris Downey, a San Francisco-based his architect who lost his sight at the age of 45 after an operation, spoke with 60 Minutes about his decision to remain in the profession and how he designs for other blind people.
