Shuart Stadium, home to the Hofstra Pride football and lacrosse teams, is a 11,929-seat multipurpose stadium. ABB designed a state-of-the-art synthetic turf athletic field, replacing the existing conventional short-fiber turf with infill turf. The field was re-graded to eliminate the central crown and perimeter surface drainage. A vertically draining permeable base with new sub-drainage allows for more appropriate evacuation of stormwater, as well as a more level playing field.

ABB designed a short fiber nylon synthetic turf field to replace the existing natural turf at the field hockey stadium. Amenities include spectator seating for 200, a press box, irrigation, electrical services, telecommunications, and scoreboard. Documents for both sites were produced concurrently in a timely manner and on a fast-track schedule to expedite construction completion in time for seasonal use.
