New York University

MAD’s relationship with New York University began in 2005. We have renovated academic and administrative spaces of many different scales and programs. Over a three year period, we renovated over 50 classrooms within several of the campus' core buildings, including the English Department at NYU's Silver Center. In some cases, the work has also included common areas and lounges in the vicinity of such classroom clusters. The latest educational technology has been incorporated in these environments. Other projects include relocating the Steinhardt Administration and Finance offices to a full floor NOHO loft. This offered an opportunity to integrate both private and collaborative meeting spaces. We also designed the faculty offices and meeting spaces for a group from NYU's Gallatin School, located in a loft building on Lafayette Street.
